Job Description:
• Automate data center operations by implementing cloud-ready virtual infrastructures.
• Unify the management of physical and virtual resources for IBM servers, storage and networks.
• Simplify the management of optimized systems.
• Achieve a single view of infrastructure within the data center.
Common Skills:
• Product work experience
• Strong communication skills
• Strong problem solving skills
• Exposure to Cloud/ Virtualizaiton domain is an added plus
• Work with globally distributed development teams and key stakeholders
Development Skills:
• Development experience using Python/Java/j2ee/OSGi hands-on programming experience. Good understanding of OOA/OOD.
• Familiarity with a variety of platforms and Operating Systems (Linux/ Windows, System x, System P , System z).
• Should have good understanding of hardware (Server, Storage & Networking) architecture.
• Familiarity with processes, and tools to include open source software in the product deliverables.
• Well versed with unit testing tools like Junit, Jmock and should have knowledge of Test Driven Design and Design for Testability.
• Familiarity with development tools like - Eclipse, Rational Team Concert, SVN.
• Exposure to Virtualization and Cloud computing concepts will be an added advantage.
Testing Skills:
• Working experience of Systems Management Tools, and product test experience.
• Working knowledge of test automation tools, framework etc.
• Experience in any of the programming languages like Java, Perl & Python.
• Functional Verification testing and Regression testing.
• Familiarity with test tools like - Rational Team Concert, Rational Quality Manager, SVN.
• Experience in writing JUnit, TestNG tests is an added plus.
• Passion for finding defects in a product, and bring a customer/user centric view to the product under development.
